I had heard so much about this place, so I finally decided to give it a go last weekend. Walking in, I was greeted by the pleasant aroma of fried fish and the friendly staff behind the counter, which immediately put me in a good mood. I opted for the haddock this time, and I was beyond pleased. The fish was simply divine, with a delicate texture that melted in my mouth. The batter was not thick at all, allowing the fish to shine through, and it was seasoned just right. The chips, oh my goodness, were some of the best I have tasted in a long time! Crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, they paired well with the fish. I also enjoyed the homemade tartar sauce; it had a lovely zing to it. A minor area for improvement would be the wait time – it was a bit longer than anticipated, but I suppose good things come to those who wait! The place was busy, which is always a good sign. Overall, I left feeling satisfied and happy. I can’t wait to bring my family here for our next fish and chips night; they are in for a treat!

I can't believe I've only just discovered this gem! I went there for the first time last week, and I was blown away by the freshness of the fish. I ordered the classic cod and chips, and the batter was perfectly crispy while the fish was incredibly flaky and moist. The portion sizes were generous too, and I appreciated that they offer a variety of sauces to accompany your meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. The only tiny hiccup was that I had to wait a little while since they were quite busy, but it was definitely worth it. I understand that good food takes time! I also loved that the takeaway was spotlessly clean. I’ll certainly be returning soon to try out their other offerings like the battered sausages and pies. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good fish and chips, you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been a fan of this takeaway for a while now, and I must say, it never disappoints! Last Friday, I went with a couple of friends, and we decided to try a mix of everything. The cod was absolutely delightful - flaky and cooked to perfection, with a light, crispy batter that didn't overpower the fish's flavour. The chips were golden and fluffy on the inside, rather than greasy, which is a huge plus for me. One of my friends got the curry sauce, and we all agreed it was one of the best we’ve had. The only downside was that the seating area was a bit cramped, so we opted to take our food home. I do think they could benefit from expanding their seating a bit, but if you’re in the mood for excellent fish and chips, it’s totally worth it to take away. I will definitely be back soon, perhaps to try their homemade tartar sauce!
